I never got into this blogging thing. As you can see. Last post 2008. Yea. Four years later I guess I should add something.
So what's on my mind these days? Oh there is plenty. I haven't crocheted or knitted much lately. Have bins and bins of yarn. I start projects, and get all gun-ho about them and then a couple weeks later I find another project, and then the same thing happens. So I have dozens of little projects started and sitting all over. Lets see, I have a purse I started in just plain stockingette stitch that I figured I'd use up some old blue yarn, but then realized I won't have enough to finish in the same color and I will not go buy more so that's sitting around.
I have a hat that I started knitting on 5 double pointed needles using sock yarn that I've had forever. That got thrown to the wayside.
There's the Pinwheel Quilt I started sewing for our queen size bed in Jan 2011, oh look a year ago, that still remains unfinished. I haven't even finished all the pinwheels for that.
I tried crocheting socks. Disaster. Epic fail.
Then I decided I would paint. So I bought a bunch of paints, canvas, brushes. I painted three things. Done, finished, haven't painted in months.
Been reading the same book for months, years ago I would have had the thing finished in just a few weeks.
And what's my current project?? Oh I've been dabbling in Quilling. You know, that what seems like an ancient art of rolling the thin paper strips into a circle and making things out of them.
I'm just a scatterbrain. All over the place.
I've been home sick for the last 3 days and all I've watched is the Food Network and cooking channel. Never watched it before other then to watch Man Vs Food. I've had my head full of Paula Deen, Rachel Ray, Barefoot Contessa, and some other Italian chick, plus watching "Cupcake Wars". People make some crazy cupcakes on that show I'll tell yea. How would you like a cupcake made with Ahi Tuna and a avocado, sour cream, mayo frosting?? Sounds delish doesn't it??!! GROSS!
So with that, I'm signing out. Maybe I'll return to keep who ever reads this posted on what my scatterbrain is doing next.
